If you have some hours free or even a whole day, LocalDrivesMe picks you up from your hotel/apartment at an agreed upon time and our local driver takes you safely to amazing castles, lakes, national parks, charming little towns/villages, Unesco World Heritage sites!

LocalDrivesMe is a platform which connects travelers with local drivers who will transport and guide you at interesting points of the countryside in one day. A local drives you. We serve, you explore.
Simply choose a date when you are in Budapest and select destination via our website. Browse among the points of interest in Hungary and book with instructions provided on screen.

Yes, you can request a customer trip if your desired route is not listed on our homepage. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request and getting back to you soon with an offer.
You will receive the vehicle that best fits the number of travelers in your group: a sedan (as large as Volkswagen Passat) for up to 3 passengers or a van (comparable to Volkswagen Transporter) for groups from 4 to 7 persons.
For larger groups, a combination of vehicles will be used. Prices fluctuate accordingly, and you can see the exact quote on the booking page. While the exact model may vary, we always ensure that the vehicle provided meets your needs in terms of safety, reliability, and comfort.
Your driver can pick you up at your hotel, apartment, cruise ship dock, or any other pick-up point accessible by car. This applies to your drop-off location as well.
No need to worry about buses, cabs, or other connections – LocalDrivesMe provides door-to-door service! If you happen to be in a pedestrian-only area, your driver will meet you at a designated pick-up location.
Your driver will meet you at the agreed time and place and won’t be contacting you before, unless necessary.
You’ll receive a reminder with your driver’s name and mobile number a few days before departure in case you need to contact him or her.
Yes, all LocalDrivesMe drivers speak English as well as their native language.
They’re happy to discuss local history and culture with you, as well as answer any questions you may have. And because they speak the local language, they’re able to provide you with a unique opportunity to connect with natives.
We always screen our drivers for criminal and traffic records, and personally interview each one/ inspect their cars for safety, comfort, and reliability. All of them in the service industry for many years with lots of experience. All cars are in excellent operating condition and insured as required by local law. And because our drivers are locals, they’re familiar with the rules and customs of the road. We believe this provides a safer and more relaxing experience for you.
You can safely pay in advance via credit card or directly in cash following your trip. You will be charged in Euros. Your bank may use a different exchange rate.
The quoted price is final and there are no additional fees for our services. However, optional third party activities such as tours or attraction fees are not included in the price. Rest assured there will be no surprises or additional fees from LocalDrivesMe.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your trip for any reason, simply call or send us an email. We understand that travel plans can change, which is why we don’t charge a fee for changes or cancellations made at least 48 hours before departure.
We strive to make your trip as comfortable as possible, and the air you breathe in the car is an important part of this. All drivers are required to keep their cars smoke-free, and generally as scent-neutral as possible. Which means no smoke, no dust, and no air fresheners.
