Coffee time

So… the other day, two or three years ago I had to go down to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Is it safe? – lot of questions like that were asked in the last couple of years if one starts to plan a trip to the Balkan. Well… the war between the former Yugoslawian member countries finished almost thirty years ago – to be frank the region is a huge personal fav for me, people are wonderful, vibes are… mmmmmmm… hospitality on top, and so the adventure factor is high while conditions are absolutely safe. Anyway… in the morning I picked up a US couple in Sarajevo, and their first question was: “Hey Andy… before we head up to Budapest, could you take us to a Starbucks?” Hmmm… a Starbucks in Sarajevo… sounded like a nice challenge… quickly googled, and found that Starbucks has serious plans to open a store in BH – but in some years, not the next ten minutes… So I started to convince my couple being my guests to a “bosanska” coffee at a local shop: it is kinda turkish unfiltered strong stuff. They were open to new things, so minutes later we just sat to a small local coffee, enjoying hot bosanska… I believe they forgot Starbucks… at least for that day… Maybe next year you already can try the brand new store in Bosnia – if not, I still can show you the old-fashioned local place in the city… 😎😎 – Andy
